I went to Dunn Brothers coffee off of 66th and York in Edina (across from Southdale) and I saw a humorous sign banning guns (if there is such a thing).

They appear to have taken the wording of the law quite litterally.

That is funny... Kind of like an oath.

The Judge says, "I (state your name)..."

The idiot say, "I (state your name)..."

Would you like a better picture of it? I only took this with my cell phone.

You gotta love those templates!!!!

In the words of Jed Clampett: "Pitiful. Jest pitiful!"

I would also like a higher resolution picture.

Here's a higher resolution picture.
It's not that great of a picture because it was getting dark and I wasn't about to take a picture with the flash. I might need to go back another day to get a better picture.

I actually need to pick up a necklace for my girlfriend that I am visiting next month (It's a long distance relationship). I went in and found something that looks good and was in my price range. I got basicly to the point where I was ready to buy and brought my issue with the sign. I explained that they aren't keeping criminals from carrying and they explained that they don't want one of their sales people to see a gun and think that they are being robbed. They also said that it was a corperate decision.

I am about to send an email to their corperate office explaining the situation and that their decision does have a monitary impact on their company.

Still not a legal sign:

http://www.house.leg.state.mn.us/hrd/issinfo/sspistpost.pdf
Quote:
The sign must be 187 square inches in area. This includes an 11-inch-by-
17-inch sign, but it could also be other dimensions, as long as it is of the
required area. The background of the sign must be “bright.”
The lettering must be black Arial typeface at least 1.5 inches in height
.
The lettering must contrast with the background of the sign.
The sign must indicate the identity of the operator of the private
establishment
and state that the operator “BANS GUNS IN THESE
PREMISES.” For example: “ACME ANVILS, INC., BANS GUNS IN
THESE PREMISES.”

From what I hear Rochester is a good place to meet single women who are well educated (Mayo Clinic), so I might actually have a chance at using that bit of info. ;)
