Arrange the camera crew in advance and make sure they won't fade and disappear.
"Camera Crew" shirts and visible cameras might keep things on an even playing field but would also draw attention.

Come to think of it, after going once and measuring the sign, I'd be tempted to post a PDF so that anyone going to the mall could repeat the process. It'd be hilarious if they had to pull down such a Post-it several times a day.
And honestly, I'm not worried about getting handcuffed for sticking a sticky-note to a sign.

I agree. There are definitely time and places for some activism on this subject; the Mall isn't one of them, until somebody's ready to fight the $25 ticket -- or, worse, real trespassing charge -- to the Minnesota State Supreme Court.
That said, you don't have to not do what I say is a bad idea, or what Joe says is a bad idea, but does anybody really want to see if we're both wrong on this one that bad?

Just go to Rosedale or Southdale because they are not posted at all.
Of course I just walk past the MOA signs and

I dont' see how it matters. As it stands now, if they see you are carrying, they will ask you to, and then make you leave.
If they had a regulation sign you could still carry there until they asked you to leave.
The effect is the same in either case.

Yeah, but it will piss off some muckedymucks at the mall, if these incidents occur. They basically have 2 choices:
1. Just eliminate the signs and allow open carry.
2. Ask the legislature to "fix" the law in their favor.

I'd not be at all surprised to see the signs quietly removed, after Bass Pro Shops opens up as their largest tenant.
Bass Pro is targeting a market a significant portion of which find no-gun signs to be problematic. I'd not be at all surprised if they were to pressure the MoA to remove the signs, or for the MoA to comply.
Seems to me that what the MoA needs from us are reminders that there are a still a significant number of potential customers who will not shop there, because of their signs. And Bass Pro needs to understand why, exactly, people like me - to whom Bass Pro will be the closest and most convenient place to pick up targets and ammo on the way to the range, won't be shopping there.

Maybe, I've never shoped at BassPro. Are they definitely coming?
I would expect, however, that they'll have even more procedure, like insisting an underage clerk carry the firearm directly to your car because of the "laws". That's usually big store protecol.
In any event, it would be better to challenge mall management with BassPro on our side than now.

This is the reason.
Quote: 2. Ask the legislature to "fix" the law in their favor.
We don't have $500,000 to fight them off. They, the merchant class, have got it if they choose to spend it. Go to the 'net and read about all the problems gun owners are having in Oklahoma and Florida, etc.
Come on guys, just "shut up" and enjoy the benefits of our law. If you poke the snake often though, you'll get bit.
The sign are gradually going away. If WE don't pick a fight, that will continue. Meanwhile, shop at Rosedale.
