Can Truckers Employers deny carry in the truck?

I bring this up only to shoot it down: It's commonly believed that it's against federal law to carry a gun in a commercial vehicle.
It's not. State laws apply regardless of the vehicle type.
An exception appears to be a Greyhound or other bus, since carrying of firearms on "interstate common carriers" is apparently a federal crime, although I can't find the cite.
