I'm sure most of you have been following this story ... a few years ago a priest, under investigation for sexual assault against a minor, becomes the prime suspect in a double murder in Hudson, WI.

Nobody in their right mind would think that they need to carry when being visited by their local priest, right?
I'll make a long story short by saying that you probably need to carry at exactly the time when you think you don't.

Just carry any time you can legally! That is my solution.

I have only been carrying since the law went into affect. However, I carry all the time now.
I use the don’t ask, don’t tell method in places where I have to go, but might be posted.
Only once did remove my weapon because of a mandated law.

If you are always packin and it happens you can defend yourself, you can't do that if it's at home or in the car!!

Why would you need to carry? Because, like insurance, a firearm is something that, when you need it, you REALLY need it.

After awhile you feel naked if you don't carry. Not carrying is the exception to the rule. And yes, you should view it as insurance or as natural as buckling your seat belt. I think when you carry you also are more aware of your surroundings and what is going on...I know I am.

I just got back from Iowa (visiting a sick grandparent), you are right, naked is the word.

I can’t deal with , not carrying.
The few times I have gone somewhere (yes, I do have backup in the car), I just know, that’s the time that “shit” will happen.
Even knowing the chances are so slim, I still can’t stand it.
It’s like being naked….. It really is.
