From the MPD Weekly Highlights week of 8/24-8/30 Quote: 41XX Soo Ave Monday 8/30/10 1810 hrs 10-265239 Vic 1/WM, 60 yrs, called police to report that 5 unknown juvenile BM’s tried to rob him at gunpoint. The juveniles approached V1 as he was headed to go fishing. Subject 1/15-16 yrs, pulled out a gun & demanded V1’s wallet. V1 has a permit to carry & pulled out his gun, pointing it at S1. S1 dropped his gun & fled on foot with all the parties. Officers located 3 of the juveniles, later ID’d as AP1/15 yrs.; AP2/16 yrs; & AP3/14 yrs. The 3 AP’s admitted being at the scene. All 3 AP’s were booked in JDC for PC Weapons. No injuries. No loss.
Where is Heather to dance in the blood...Oh, wait, no shots were fired and no one was hurt and most importantly, the vic was not, repeat not, robbed by 5, count 'em, 5 troubled youths just beginning to turn their lives around.

I wish the guy could keep the kid's gun as a lawful prize.

If it was reported in the Strib the headline would read: "Angry White Male With Gun Threatens Minority Children". Glad to see a good result, hopefully he scared the bejeezus out of those kids and they decide to take a different path in life.
