Coming home tonight with the boy, sitting at a stoplight. Around the corner, making a lefthand turn, comes a guy riding a black Kawasaki Ninja. Black helmet, black jacket, black pants open carrying a Glock in a black holster.
I wonder how many people, besides me, noticed.

Obviously a member of "Glock Talk".
Not that there is anything wrong with that.

This was possibly a case of the jacket riding up.I carry a Glock in a black holster with a black motorcycle jacket but ride a cruiser and don't have to be bent over like the sport bike guys and occasionally my jacket will get caught up and expose part of my holster. I have never had anyone mention it so I may be the only person that knows.

I open carry when I'm on my bike all the time. I've never has any type of response that I'm aware of.

When wearing gloves and other gear, open carry can become a very tempting option.

Yep, tactically camo'd to blend into the asphalt, when approaching your vehicle from the rear.
Now that bike riding weather is here,
A PUBLIC SERVICE MESSAGE.....
TAKE AN EXTRA SECOND, WHEN MOVING ABOUT ON THE ROAD, TO LOOK FOR THOSE ON BIKES
Rant now on. While I understand we share the road, what is it with some bikers? Cruiser riders (Harleys and upright riders) settle down
I'm referring to those on "crotch rockets" (racing style bikes)
If they are in a group, great, share the road with me, but when the first time you see this screaming plastic missile, is when they go by your door, there is something wrong. Then you watch as they pull away, weaving through traffic (not rush hour) as if cars are obstacles.WTF It's happening almost every day I'm on the freeway. All I can do is shake my head thinking ORGAN DONOR Rant off.

Yep. And the usual attire is shorts, flip flop sandals, t shirt, and a baseball cap on backwards. The ones that irritate me even more are the ones that ride on the highways doing "wheelies" for a few hundred feet or more.
Some of these guys are just waiting to be scraped off the pavement.

I know that I'M waiting for them to be scraped up...
They give the rest of us responsible adults who ride sportbikes (in full protective gear, no less) a bad name.
If I tried to carry while riding, I'd probably have to do the same dance I do when trying to get my wallet out of my pants, through my Aerostich, at the gas station. Any criminal would fall down laughing before being able to attack me...

shoulder holster?
You're absolutely right. With any interest, the rest of the public only remembers the irresponsible idiots.

I ride daily, and I open carry quite a bit while riding.
For those of you that ride, and some of you that understand, the goal is to keep the "cages" away from you.
If my open carrying happens to help that issue while I'm exercising my right to ride & my right to carry (openly), so be it.

I ride bikes also and never understood the pure black thing... while it looks cool IMO it just seems dangerous.
That being said I wear black AND silver, same with the bike (like it's that much better...)

Same here. My helmet is silver, matches the color of the bike.
Much MC protective wear is black. I've seen people put on those bright green/yellow vests, like the street repair people wear, but I'm not sure I want to do that, either.
