We are planning another new shooter orientation class for the end of this month or early next month. The class will have limited attendance and will be held at Beaverbrook Tri County Sportman's club in East Bethel.

Our club, with published exceptions for LEOs and graduates of major shooting schools like Gunsite, Lethal Force Institute, etc, requires this training for persons who don't have current action pistol shooting experience.

The class will last at least 3 hours and will include lectures and demos on our rules and procedures and range time for you to practice under instructor direction and without time pressures. These classes require you be totally familiar with an IDPA qualified handgun and experienced at drawing from an approved strong side holster. We are not able to teach basic gun safety or holster draw in these classes.

The cost is $50 ( which includes the $15 calendar year dues for our Twin Cities club) and we have to meet with the board to get approval for our date that we will promptly published. If you are interested please e mail Jeff Cater at vpadmin@twincitiesidpa.com. All this means is you are interested and Jeff will advise you of the date. We can then register you and collect the fees in advance if you are able to attend on the date we publish. Jeff can answer questions or you can also e mail me at president@twincitiesidpa.com

Learn more about our club at www.twincitiesidpa.com , we welcome safe new shooters!

The Twin Cities IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) will be
holding a new shooters orientation and clinic. You must attend this clinic or
have verifiable specific training or action shooting experience prior to
shooting your first match with us.

When: Thursday June 28th, 2007 6:00 to 9:00pm, registration at 5:30

Where: Bearverbrook Tri County Range - East Bethel

Cost: $ 50.00 prepaid (this includes the $15 Twin City membership and
all targets and range fees)

To signup or for more information contact:
Jeff Cater e-mail: vpadmin@twincitiesidpa.com 763-287-9722 or
Bob Andrews e-mail vpmembership@twincitiesidpa.com

See link below for all the details if you are interested in getting started in defensive shooting IDPA style. It is a game, with set rules and procedures, scores are kept and posted. However, but we try to be realistic and have it be useful practice for shooters of all abilities.
