I and a few of my buddies are wondering about any ranges in the West Suburbs (i.e: Victoria, Jordan, Waconia, St Boni, etc) that anyone is aware of. It'd be nice to find something indoors that's close, even if we have to join. I know of Bill's in Plymouth, and the one in Burnsville, but is there anywhere else out west that anyone can recommend? Also, it'd be nice if we could shoot both rifle and pistol, but at this point I'd take either.

Let's get this part straightened out first, Bill's Gun Shop & Range only has two locations, one in Robinsdale, and one in Circle Pines.
There's a Trap/skeet club in Plymouth, and if I recall correctly it is by invite only, so you'll need a sponsor.
And the indoor range you're thinking of in Burnsville is Burnsville Pistol Range. (BPR)

The Burnsville Pistol Range has both a pistol and a rifle range, but the rifle goes out only 47 yards. Still, it's nice to have an indoor rifle range.

Montecello is west and north a bit, but its supposed to be very nice with decent people running it, It may be closer or less hassle to get to than burnsville or bills from your location

Sorry 'mng'....was confused or mis-informed about the location of Bill's. And thanks for the links.....looks like there's some sites pretty close. I thought the Edina location had closed (I had gone there some 18 yrs ago), but it's apparently re-opened. And the Dakota lanes looks pretty nice. Again, thanks ya'll, and I'll let ya know how it goes with the XD40!

seeing your out that way, you need to stop in to the gunstop and pick up a XD gear package, 3 more mags and a belt holder for the mags for 32.95, you can never have too many mags and that is a killer price, less than half of what Gander wanted.

Hum, in my part of the world, huh?
Don't forget Mystic Lake (connected to the casino)
I have a friend who owns a farm just west of Carver that includes a gravel pit. I'm allowed to use it (my preference; warm weather) .
He might be willing to allow me to bring a FEW friends once in a while.
