From Isreal again...

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,505129,00.html

From the story...

One witness, a taxi driver identified as "Dor," told Israel Radio that he chased the driver as he watched the attack unfold.

"I saw the police car fly into the air. He flipped it over twice, then continued dragging it toward a bus that was stuck in traffic," he said. He told the station he fired four shots at the man, wounding him. "Then a policeman came with his M-16 and finished him off," he said.

Emphasis mine.

Yup, no nonsense about trial or other stuff, caught in the act, its the same as putting down a wild bear or other dangerous game, After all, who knows if he had the bucket filled with explosives or what, and is trying to crash thru a restaurant's walls and kill everyone inside.

Now that's a great example of the 'first responder' (armed citizen) doing what he can, and 'backed up' by law enforcement responding to the scene, working together to make the world a better place.

This is not a Minnesota gun issue. Moved.

I have people in Tel Aviv, and I found they keep some heavy weapons in the house. I was little so I didn't think about it much.

I know they wouldn't bother reading any law about machine guns or registration if they lived here, and I'd probably embarrass them if I asked.

Does anyone know what the gun laws are like in Israel?

I love an armed community that knows what to do.

I just love the headline, I thought only guns came to life.

"Bulldozer Goes on Rampage in Israel, Driver Killed"

The article says that was the third "bulldozer" attack in 8 months for the
City of Jerusalem.

I wonder if there are any bulldozer control laws....

"The Israeli Community Bans Bulldozers In This Facility"

There, that ought to get the job done.

Perhaps what they really need are stricter laws on the transfer of bulldozers. Maybe there should be FBL dealers who can do NCIS background checks to make sure bulldozers are transferred responsibly. And, of course, after an appropriate waiting period.

By the way, do they have laws restricting suicide bombers? 'Cuz that's another dangerous thing over there... Maybe they can legislate themselves to a safer community.
