It looks like DPMS sells them. They had some available in the tent at the zombie shoot.

6" blade limit? Really? I hadn't seen that statute. It isn't in 609.66 or 609.02 Subd. 6.

While I'd be ill advised to walk around in Minneapolis with my 38" bladed broadsword or my 22" bladed short sword, neither is illegal & the responding officers would most likely resort to a disorderly conduct charge or something in that vein.

Now my switchblade is legal only in my home as part of my collection, I can't legally carry it around here in MN. Thank God for
Quote:
Subd. 2.Exceptions.Nothing in this section prohibits the possession of the articles mentioned by museums or collectors of art or for other lawful purposes of public exhibition.
I added my switchblade to my collection of artistic knives, by buying it from a felon who knew he shouldn't be walking around with one of those. Seemed like a win/win to get it off the street.

Anyway, if I am missing a statute, I do want to know about it.

Long time lurker first post, I couldnt let this one go.

getting that knife off the street is both good and bad, what is that felon going to do with the money? I agree with your actions and your justification for them, money is far less dangerous to the rest of us than a knife. i would like to carry a real knife around that I can deploy quickly just as most all of you but how do I avoid getting arrested for it or having it taken away?
The laws regarding edged weapons are both vague and stupid, leaving too much at the discretion of the police.

NOT THAT THAT MATTERES AT ALL! del-ton is private property.
Last I checked there is a knife forum here on the boards, there is some good advice there.

Sure. Except for some of the city ordinances -- like St. Paul's, as I recall, which is anything but vague. Incredibly stupid, and enforced only selectively, but . . .

Congratulations Sixstring, that’s a beautiful gun. :!: 8) Envy is a terrible thing. It had to be way cool holding that rifle while wearing the Punisher shirt, got a picture you can post?

ETA: You'll have to give us a range report later.

Sadly I went all by my lonesome to the zombie shoot. I didn't have a camera on me at the time either so no Punisher pictures.

Right now it doesn't have a rear sight. I don't want to take a sight off of my other uppers, so I will have to order one. Once I get it on I will head out to the range and report back(punisher included). 8)

I finally took the skull rifle out the the range today and reporting back as asked. I was feeling lazy so I only shot at 25 yards. I got it sighted in and decided to shoot some golf balls. It shoots pretty good. Here are a couple of pictures from this morning.

IIRC there is an exception in the mpls blade length ordinance for p2c holders.
