Hello all.

I'll be heading over to hunt prairie dogs in South Dakota tomorrow morning. I know that I can carry in South Dakota with the Minnesota permit. The potential problem is that this ranch I'm going to is on a Indian reservation. Is carrying on Indian reservations in other states as complicated as it is here? Would anyone know if I will be able to carry there with no problems?

Thank you in advance for any information anyone may be able to provide me.

I would call the ranch you are going to and ask how to proceed. They may allow you, but the rest of the reservation may not... But, it can't be the first time they have been asked about it. They also may have contact info for the reservation.

South Dakota is not part of Public Law 280

It's not that complicated here. Here in Minnesota, the answer is "yes," except for Red Lake, where the answer is "probably."
