I have looked everywhere up and down and I can't find my anwser. Can I legally carry in MN casinos and or Canterbury. Are they state or federal building. I am sure the anwser is smacking me in the face but with all the jargon it's just not clear to me. Thanks in advance.

Don't most instructors cover this question? You took your training pretty recently, as I recall. One of those

"hypothetical" questions that students probably bring up often enough in class where the instructor says "Okay, here are the answers to the most common places people always want to know if they can carry.." and so on.
Just curious.

I took the class the question was not brought up, I read Joel's book, I searched USACarry.com, and looked at MN firearm laws, nothing that I saw touched on reservations so I asked. Thanks

You were. I have got the summary of the whole casino thing, but what about Canterbury?

Ah. The answer is: sure. Not a problem. They've got signs up, and they can always ask you to leave -- and they will, if they spot you carrying -- but, sure, you can carry there. When you get to the casinos, you run into issues around what the laws are on the res -- while, in theory, standard MN law applies most of the time on most of the reservations, the tribes do, at times, differ. But Canterbury isn't Indian -- and, of course, I do carry there, when I'm there, and carefully ignore the noncompliant signs. If I was ever asked to leave, less of my money would drop down into the dealer's slot at the tables.

Thank you, if and when I carry there I have no intention of letting others know, and I am with you if I am asked to leave, then say goodbye to my money as well.

Now that's funny. I always wondered when we'd get that answer to The Question.
