That's the punishment for Antonio Judd of Worcester. He grabbed the hot dog from another man in Elm Park in August, after pulling what appeared to be a gun on him. It turns out it was a pellet gun. Police reports say Judd began to devour the hot dog, spilling mustard all over his shirt. They say when he was arrested later he was carrying a pellet gun and a pocket knife. He pleaded guilty Monday in Worcester Central District Court to charges including larceny from a person. Records show Judd has a long criminal history. He's already been to prison three times for several offenses, including assault and vandalism. Maybe I'm just out of touch, but it seems to me that the punishment for armed robbery shouldn't be lessened simply because the bastard didn't steal very much... |

I hope he gets a psychological evaluation while in jail for stealing a hot dog at gun point (even if it was a pellet gun). And yeah, if he's in a "3 strikes you're out" state that was a REALLY bad choice. Life in prison for a hot dog. But, I think in many/most "3 strikes you're out" states the previous convictions must be for violent crimes. |
