ok im probably asking in the wrong section here but i figured it would get seen more.

so heres the question, are there any instructors around that offer private minnesota carry classes for under $175?

i have a couple family members and a freind who are interested in getting carry permits but dont want to break the bank and they are not real big on the idea of doing the training as part of a huge class. one works odd hours also so a private class would be kinda nice.

admin feel free to move this post if its necessary.

yes, there are.

I personally had most of my classes at 5-10 students. Seldom would I have more than that. I held the classes small because I was not comfortable putting more than 2-3 shooters on the line at a time. Depending on the skill levels, I would allow 4 shooters.

whether or not I start teaching again is another discussion....

I do private classes for four or more at $125 per person, plus reasonable travel expenses if it's outside the metro.

Make it 4. :) Depending on where the class it, we'll usually cut a deal on private classes.

Nah, just three....

I am not willing to teach any permit classes at this time....

there will be other discussions with other people before I decide to do them again.

Just did a class for two people today at a private home in the metro. $100 each through October 31st, then $125 each.

Wow! Private classes are cheaper than regular classes. I'll have to remember that

No, it is just that very few regular classes are $175 :)

I put on small classes quite often as well. $110.00 + range.

A class of 6 is better than a class of 2 who know each other IMO. I just did a private class for two vets and we had a great time. (they had to go back to active duty the following Monday). I think that having a few more offers reinforcement to what we teach in class and give all attending class a different perspectives. I do understand that some will not attend a public class and that's OK.

Yup. There's few instructors who wouldn't do a private class at something like that rate for a large enough group.

But, in terms of folks not wanting to be part of huge classes, that's pretty easy; there's very few huge classes being done, these days; the plan that Mango Joe Penaz, Gary Shade, Michael Martin and Paul Blincow had to do a huge class (or, if you prefer, "seminar") together back around the 4th of July was canceled without much fanfare. I'm not sure why, but it's not impossible, from this remove, that there simply wasn't sufficient demand.
