can someone provide a list of gun freindly attorneys or lawyers? i almost had a close call a while back and i think it would be wise to maybe have a few cards in my pocket.

Here's a quick list- I'm sure Joel will be along to correct/amend as needed:
Marc Berris, 612-332-3100 David Gross (semi-retired, IIRC), 507-333-5615 Brian Toder, 651-653-0990

Next time you're in Gun Stop, grab a few of my cards; there's lawyers numbers and other useful phrases on the back. Throw one in your wallet; hand some others out to friends.

Oh -- and Jeremiah is, of course, right -- those are three of the four lawyers with names and numbers on the back of my card.
(I'm not particularly claiming, by the way, that they endorse me -- if you want to know, ask them -- I am saying that I endorse them.)

You "legally associate" with them or something? That is a phrase that I'm carefully not using -- nor am I using the weaselly adspeak "keep legal company with." Marc is a friend; David a close friend of long standing; Brian and I barely know each other, but are friendly; Jeff is a good guy with whom I'm friendly but not terribly close, and he's one of the few lawyers with lots of work credits in the movement. That's not why I endorse them, though; I do because I think that they will do a very good job for their clients, and have reason to think so and -- and I'm very selfish about this -- are unlikely to leave me embarrassed for having recommended them.
