From the recent UT Instr. newsletter:
Effective 7/1/06
1."no longer accept general familiarity waivers for concealed firearms permit applications"
2. " also any instruction regarding general familiatity shall be in person and not through electronic means. this requires that all students regardless of their level of firearms training and experience, must personally attend a course of instruction."
3. " there is a six month time limit on the submission of all applications"
...........goes on to state it applies to permits and new instr. apps.
4. reminder that it takes up to 60 days for permit issuance and asks that we inform student not to call until after 60 days have passed
