Assistant County Attorney Dan Allard

The case was pretty weak. Sordid details here.

Watkins is a piece of societal detritus. He's got an apparently good attorney and he's got a pretty bad record:
AGGRAVATED ROBBERY FIRST DEGREE
THEFT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
FLEEING A PEACE OFFICER IN MOTOR VEHICLE
REMOVAL OF FIREARM SERIAL NUMBER
MSD FALSE INFO TO P/O
.00/4D DWI
NO MN DL
DL Suspend-Fail to Pay

At least there is this:
Quote:
While he was acquitted of all charges, Watkins remains behind bars at the Hennepin County Jail on $100,000 bail Tuesday for a different case. Watkins was charged by the Hennepin County Attorney's Office on June 27 with false imprisonment and terroristic threats after allegedly violating a restraining order.

According to Brooklyn Park Police, Watkins forced his girlfriend into a car, threatened her, and then beat her on May 12, 2008.

To complicate matters though, the girlfriend in the above case is the one who testified against him in the Marks trial.

I am still in shock on this one.

Only good thing I can say about this is that finally Mrs Big and Tasty is okay with me carrying around the house, etc.

Complete failure of justice. Too bad we live in a Society that rewards and pampers Criminals.

While the results are tragic, we all have to believe that the chickens will come home to roost for this guy.

Life has a way of working out that way most of the time, so let's hope it does in this case.
