Can this be done on this site, I'm referring to the scrolling AMBER ALERT banner at the top of the page.

To my way of thinking, ANYONE visiting this site will automatically see that we do things FOR THE KIDS (Brownie points)

I also think it would be a good idea. That's easy for me to say, without any responsibility to set up and maintain, but it's still a good idea.

Brit, I attempted to get this on my military forum. I've met with some resistance. I think it doesn't hurt the site at all and I like the banner placed on this site.

I just called the MN BCA about a more localized banner. The best they will/can do is provide a link to their website. No RSS feeds, no javascript, etc

And their web site isn't even accurate. There have certainly been local amber alerts since 2004. If this were my company's job, we'd have it up in a day.
Government at its best.

For a variety of reasons, I'd rather not have it on the website -- whoever put it up, please take it down.

Certainly if there was a MN (WI?) feed, and it only popped up when it was active, that'd be great.
I did not like the fact that CANCEL INDIANA + entire amber alert was scrolling on it (yesterday?).
