When it seems like it is hung up when you are posting a reply, give it about 10 seconds and then go back a frame and refresh, your post will most likely be there.
Yes I know it is not a fix, but it can speed things up for you and eliminate the double post like I was getting.

Today has been the worst I've every experienced. Couldn't get a response posted earlier today, and then when I tried to delete some repetitive posts of mine, I was able to accidently delete a complete thread that another member started and some other member had already responded to. I didn't think one member could delete the posts of another member. Strange.

DreamHost apparently lost the database server for a number of hours this afternoon and evening.
They eventually fixed it.
Those looking for a higher level of reliability that comes with expensive dedicated server hosting should look first in their pockets and under couch cushions for some loose change to throw into The Tip Jar.

How about selling advertising? After all, it's the American way.

Tip Jar Jingled
OK, so let's (ok, so SOMEONE ELSE) set up something... How much do we need for how long? It sometimes helps to have the goal firmly in mind and know how close we are to getting there.
CombatCarry.com went therough the same thing very recently and it was amazing how fast the support rolled in.

I start to shake when I cannot feed my TCC addiction.
I use these guys for hosting ( http://ace-host.net/ ) and I dont seem to have very many issues. Plus they give me shell access on the Linux server which is something most service providers dont do. Not sure about dreamhost.
For what it is worth, I took a look at/installed the v3.0 beta5 of phpbb and it really looks good.
