First, locate your image:

I.) If your image is on your hard drive, you need to upload it to a place on the web first. There are many places you can store your pictures for free. I use Photobucket.com. Once you have uploaded your image, Photobucket provides (underneath your picture) the code necessary for making your image show up here. Just copy the text in the box labeled "IMG code". Then, come back here and paste it into your message.

II.) If you image is already on the web, like on a gun manufacturer's web page, right-click the picture.
A)Using Firefox select "Copy image location".
B)Using MS Internet Explorer, select "Properties" then copy the URL listed at the Address section.

Now, come back here and press the Img button Image.

This will insert some code that looks like this {IMG}, except it will use "[" brackets instead of "{" brackets. (I can't use them here or it thinks I'm trying to do something.)

After the {IMG} paste in the address where the image is located and press the Img button Image again. This will insert {/IMG}.

The idea is to get something that looks like this: (Using "[" style brackets of course) {IMG}http://www.mypictures.com/mypicture.jpg{/IMG}

If you have problems PM me and I'll walk you through it. :wink:

Very Good! You get an "A" :wink:

I suppose this thread is as good as any for anyone who wants to practice posting images.

It was my subtle way of calling you a geek without violating the "no personal attacks" rule... :wink:

Seriously though, good tutorial for the folks that might not otherwise know how to post photos... I, apparently like you, fall into geek classification...
