I received the same alert today. Mine is going out Monday with the exact same message.

A vote for McCain could have the same result. Rhinos aren't real interested in your second amendment rights either. It just depends on which way the wind is blowing.

Can someone explain this reciprocity mess (with references!) What did he promise and when did he promise it?

For those interested, T-Paw can sometimes be found at Starks in Eagan for breakfast on the weekends. Or so I've been told.

maybe some of the southern metro contingent should start doing a breakfast club there (while wearing slow-rolled Ts of course...)

I sent the contents of my latest Cato Institute letter to the GOP, maybe they will read it and discover small government.

I did the same thing with the letter (writing 'not one dime' and sending it back), and speaking as a Postal Service employee I can tell you that Business Reply costs them a lot more than $0.42.

But my main reason for this post is that in the last 5 days I have gotten 3 calls from the GOP wanting me to contribute in various ways. I told the first caller 'not one dime' and explained why in detail. He was curious and asked several questions.

The second caller, when I told him 'not one dime' until Gov. Pawlenty keeps his campaign promise asked if this was regarding the 'concealed carry law and the DPS'. I told him yes, he thanked me and hung up.

The third caller, who I just got off the phone with, when I said 'not one dime' said "Oh, you're one of those." I replied that yes I was, and that the instant Gov. Pawlenty ordered the DPS follow the law I would be happy to donate again. "It's all on Governor Pawlenty" I said. She thanked me and hung up.

Any chance that of him actually keeping his promise now that he's not running for VP any more?

I dunno Bruce, if McCain wins I think TeePaw will be in a cabinet position. If McCain loses the Gov may seek another term, then he may scramble to heal wounds. That could be too little too late for some of us.

Hard to heal the wounds. He broke an explicit promise. You can't spin that away.
