Heard from Kevin of
K&D Holsters today. He was perfunctorily apologetic about the fact that it's probably going to take him the full eight weeks to get me my new one. Business is going great.
Understandable; I'm not complaining. Good prices, great quality -- the lines aren't going to get any shorter for the foreseeable.
(The two custom holstermakers I strongly recommend are him and Dave Workman. Workman's always fast, and I'd say his stuff's fit-and-finish is a touch higher -- but he deliberately chooses to make very few different models. Kevin makes more different kinds.)
Why should I care about the fit and finish of a holster that's going to be almost always concealed? I dunno, either.
