Im having a tough time finding a good holster for my xd .40 subcompact. I would like to holster it in the small of my back, and i cant find a good holster for that position. What i have come up with so far is i can use a iwb holster but i would need a left hand draw for the small of my back (I am right handed), but i cant be sure because every picture that i can find online is the same for right or left handed draw, i know its a dumb question but i need know before i spend $50-$100 on a holster that is not what i want.................so which is which Any suggestions for a good holster would be appreciated

I would not recommend SOB carry either. Over the spine is not the best place to have your gun. Move it to 4 to 5 o'clock were it will sit flat against your back but not worry about injuring yourself.

Fall, push or in any way hit your back...and voila, your gun is right where you'd get paralyzed. Also, Srigs makes some awesome holsters. On that note...I need to order one for my XD...

I'm carrying either my XD45 compact or XD9 Sub compact in a horsehide BlueGrass Hybrid "Ghost". Looks like a Supertuck, but more substantial. Very comfortable for me wearing it high at about 4 O'clock with a pretty good forward cant. www.bluegrasshybridholsters.com Wearing it with shorts and T-shirts, folks don't even know it's there.

I too would not recommend SOB carry, but if it's what you want, I would recommend don hume holsters. If you want to shoot me a PM I'd be happy to meet up with you and show you a couple of their holster, I could give you one of their print catalogs as well.
