Tandy Leather has a stitching pony on sale for $14 through the end of July.

This doodad holds your work so you can stitch with two hands.

The Minneapolis store is on Portland half a block south of 494.

They also have a holster-making class coming up. I gave them my card, asked them to get me the details, and promised to promote it here.

Thanks for the info. Please keep us up to date on the class. I'd be interested.

For the handy guy who wants to make his own holster, maybe this link will be helpful.

(he is the guy that makes the "Answer" holster that I use exclusively)

That is a neat site. The main thing I learned is that I would not do as good a job as Tucker!

My cynical side says that that's probably the idea; my rational side doesn't object, since my guess is that somebody with a lot of skills, experience, and tools is going to make a better holster, by and large, than somebody who without those.

Oh, exactly. It's great advertising. My own efforts at plumbing, bricklaying, gunsmithing, car repair etc. etc. have gotten me through emergencies, but served primarily to impress me with the value I'm getting when I pay a pro to do something well.
