Episodes of COPS were filmed here last summer, and the first one will be aired tonight at 7PM, on FOX.

Awesome!
There were a couple episodes from the 90's that were hilarious, hopefully these will continue in that theme.

I think I remember the earlier episodes. Wasn't there a squad of 2 female cops? I hope I can view the episode tonight. Maybe feature the 4th precinct?

Yea, there were two female cops who seemed like they were doing a good job.

Then there was a male/female team who was baiting a guy to come out of his house to give him a drunk in public charge or something. The drunk was yelling at them from inside his screen door, and it was pretty funny.

I think they also investigated a shooting.

I'm told tonight's episode will be the 3rd Pct's (Phillips/Hiawatha/Nokomis) detectives doing a prostitution sting.

You mean tomorrow night:

Quote:
HO HO HO #6 Season 21, Episode 13
Originally Aired: December 13, 2008

Officers with the Minneapolis Police Department set up a prostitution sting and catch women that will surely be on Santa's "naughty" list this year. Meanwhile, sheriffs in Harris County, TX, patrol a truck stop known for illicit activity, and officers in Snohomish County, WA, work overtime when they're called to the scene of a disturbance.

Quote of the show..."I might be a ho, but I'm not a crack ho."

In the Mpls segment, it was interesting how the first gal saw the van right away, but the second gal had no clue until the door was opened.

I can't for the life of me understand how anyone could pick up a crack ho like that. nasty....

Great! They use half a dozen cops to grab 2 hookers and I can't even get one to check out the shootings on my block.

Great use of manpower!

It's less dangerous for them to bust hookers than check out shots fired calls.

I thought this same thing when I watched the episode. While I certainly do not promote or condone prostitution, would it not be better to have the officers we do have out investigating the serious crimes that now, have no one to work? Unless it is murder, MPD has very few investigators. It is great that they are busting these gals, but it seems to me there are a few more serious crimes that go unpunished due to no man power to work them.

One other thing...They could only get 15 minutes of tape here? Half the show was for some other FL agency I believe. They need to come to the 4th precinct. That was the problem. Nothing happens anywhere else. Here, it is show time every weekend. They would have more tape than they knew what to do with.
