As the introduction says, this is for folks new to the Forum, whether or not they're new to handguns. The point has been made -- and quite fairly -- that some of the old grumps (like, well, me) have at times been less than welcoming of new folks to the Forum who -- quite reasonably; the Forum is new to them, after all -- ask the same questions that we've answered many times, and who are often inundated with the "And just who was your instructor?" barrage.
Here, the rules are a bit different than elsewhere in the Forum. The questions that many of us tend to grump at, just a bit, must be answered here in a friendly manner, or not at all. Yes, for a Minnesota permit holder, the price of admission to the Forum still will include, pretty often, telling folks who you took your class with, and what you thought of it, but here the explanations as to why the site owner insists on that will be invariably friendly.
So: jump in. If you're new to the Forum, this is probably the best place to make your first post, no matter what the topic is.

I believe that, even though this is Newbie Corner, I'm allowed to say: Bwahahaha!
In a nice way. Which is how I mean it. Honest.
