Post subject:  My new Combat Magnum!

I have always wanted a Model 19 2.5" K-frame. So, at last weekend's St Paul gun show, I asked about a Model 19 4" and said, "To bad you don't have one in 2.5!" He said, "I don't and I do... I don't have a Model 19 but do have a Model 66!"

Did I mention that I love stainless steel! So, he gave me a good deal and it came home with me. I had to take some pics of the gun and the new holsters I made for it this week.

It is a 1980 vintage 66-1 and in great shape.

Even my wife wants to shoot it! 8)

Very, very nice. Just about the perfect snubby, since you can handle the weight.

Sweeeeet! Gol-dang-it... I like that!

BTW Srigs - the kid left here moments ago (10:00 AM) with that holster for you. Raining cats & dogs, so I hope he doesn't just launch it like a newspaper as he goes by! :(

Nice revolver and a VERY nice holster. How did you get that marbled effect?

*disclaimer: I'd say nice things about Srigs' work anyway but he DID buy me lunch today in case anyone thinks I can be bought for $10.99

The leather itself causes lots of that and different densities cause water based dyes to penetrate at different rates. I like the effect.

Post subject:  Model 66

Nice find of a 66 snubbie and nice holster making. I have a 19 2 1/2 inch nickel and I think you will be suprised how accurate they are. I load a mild cast bullet load with 357 brass. The only thing bad about the shiny ones is the clean up job on the outside after you shoot them.

Dirty Harry used either a 66 or 19 snubbie in the movie the Gauntlet.
Picture of a 19-5 2 1/2 inch nickel and a Harry style 29-2 6 1/2 inch
