I don't have anything in .40 S&W. They have a Taurus PT MilPro 140 at Cabelas for $299. Seemed like a decent buy to me. What say you?

If that is a new gun, that is an exellent buy.

I concur. I have a PT111 in 9mm that is one of my carry pieces and it is a great firearm. It fires smooth and predictably and I have yet to have a failure with it. Most holster makers make holsters for them as well. I'd snatch that baby up!!

Thanks guys. I'm on my way to buy it. Here's the info I didn't want to disclose (It would have changed your minds ) It's the tan colored one.
I alread have a 745. Only failures were my first home-loads.

Two range trips. 150 rds. O failures. I'm amazed by the difference between the recoil of this gun and that of my 745. Getting back on target almost happens by itself. If it eats a good SD round reliably this will be my new carry gun.

Good find. I have a Taurus PT-22 from the late nineties that's a piece of crap. Every other Taurus I've owned, seen, or fired has really impressed me. Taurus = a lot of gun for a very attractive price.

Good find on that PT140. They are good guns.

I sure like um. I have a cute little Galco IWB that fits both guns just super. Problem is, it has no side guard (protection for left back of slide). I get little rust dots/lines on really sweaty days. They come right off with an oily rag, but they suck. Alas, I have no idea where to get a good holster that protects that part of the gun from my skin or my shirt.
I'm on my way over there right now.

I have 2 don hume owb hoslters, open top and thumb break, both keep the gun of your skin. They ride high and very tight with excellent build quality. I'll bump the thread up in the holster section. I highly recommend them.

Thanks Duane, but I was being silly. I'll get one from Srigs. I should have done it right away, but I lack patience. Live and learn.
