155 howitzer with a rocket assisted round. It does have a rifled barrel.

Matt:
Wouldn't some Navy pukes argue that point? The 155 *may* have the edge for velocity, but the bore can't compare to the 16" battleship guns.
One concession: are any battleships currently active?

To confirm Matt, yes, they are mothballed. San Francisco is fighting against having the USS Iowa as a tourist atrraction as we speak. Not that I am real familiar with Naval Artillery, but those 16" could hurl a 2000 lb round for a distance of 30 miles AND hit their target!!!

Slightly off topic but I'd love one of these 3" 50 (in Naval guns caliber is different, a 3" 50 has a 3" bore times 50 for a barrel length of 150"). You can privately own any of these.
