I read Guillermo Del Toro's and Chuck Hogan's The Strain yesterday. It's not among richest stories written, to be sure, but one could do much worse for an evening's reading as sci-fi and horror fiction go. Not too shabby, and it can be swallowed in a sitting or two. If you have a taste for medical thrillers and/or vampire lore, it's worth a few hours. That's it. I just wanted to share that. Also, check out the completely absurd promotional website. |
