I never heard any outcome from the fight event where that shooting occurred. I haven't seen any changes to the signage since then, but enforcement of their current policies may have been improved. Probably depends a lot on the event, but I would think the Target Center has probably run all of its doormen through some additional training on what to look for and how to pat down since the shooting just to C their A.

Just went tonight to the circus and they were wanding everyone. I had to go back to my car before we went through security. It picked up my knife, I'm sure it would have picked up the slide of my Kahr!

The following items are strictly prohibited for Target Center under any circumstances:

* No video recorders, audio recorders or other similar electronic devices
* No laser pointers or weapons
* No backpacks, large bags, sealed packages of any kind (including gifts for performers)
* No bottles, cans, coolers
* No outside food or beverages. *Exceptions are made for medical reasons, baby food and reasonable children’s snacks (crackers, raisins, juice boxes, etc.)

I walk through the Target Center every day, and whenever there is an event, they are wanding everyone that enters. Much tighter security than before that ultimate fighters shooting incident. If you stand in the hallway and watch for awhile, you'll identify certain guards that are doing a poorer job searching people than others. Still would be tough to get past though.

Well, under Minneapolis' knife ordinance, if you have a permit to carry, you should be able to carry a pretty nice sized knife.

Wow! I read that like 5 times and didn't see it. I typically don't lump laser pointers and "weapons" together though.

I guess they saw no need to highlight "weapons".
:roll:

We're going to the same Disney show tonight and I am thinking of leaving my P3AT in my jacket pocket and holding that in my hands as they wand my body like last time.
Dunno though, like I said before, the didn't notice my knife last time.
I guess we'll just see both how bold I'm feeling and what my wife says.

Frick, hold your keys in your hand in your pocket over your gun. If the wand goes off, take your hand out of your pocket and show them your keys and walk in. Do this when there is a big crowd waiting to get in.

You know, come to think of it, when it beeped at my keys he just asked me "keys?" and I said yup.
Hmmm...
