No threat to the public, they said, (must NOT be random) Hummmm... There maybe more to the story.

Sad to see. This is why I'm armed in the house or near the bed when asleep.

There is nothing more precious than your family, good reason to be armed at home.

Sad story...there was a lot of bad shite in the metro too last night (multiple shootings, and a kid who quit breathing for no apparent reason yet) :(

Very sad to see. And the woman may not make it either.

My wife and I were both awaken to a loud noise last night. Grabbed the Glock (bedside safe) and checked the house from room to room.

Nuttin. I like it that way!

A 4w night light in the kitchen will backlight anyone approaching the bedroom hallway (in most rambler-style homes).

Actually my neighbors front lights shine in on such an angle that would backlight anything coming up the stairs.

These types of attacks, and a few run ins with "magazine salesmen" are what prompted me to always have a gun on me. Having one in the bedroom, and one in the office is all well and good, except when you are somewhere else. Several months ago I picked up a Kel-tec P3AT and one of these neck holsters. I wear this when I have changed into my pajamas for the night and wearing my larger carry piece is not convienent. I just recently picked up an undershirt with holster from 5.11. This obviously has some speed issues with drawing, but the gun is always at hand, and does not move around at all. I like this product so much that I have now made wearing a shirt like this part of my regular attire.

Hmm, not random.

So if I have a large quantity of cash on hand, several firearms in my home, or maybe I am a farmer that has chemicals, or something else that is legal to possess, but desirable to a criminal. Have no fear if my family is killed during a night invasion, it is not random, I was targeted because I had something the criminal wanted, so there is no threat to the public.

BULLSHIT. If you have anything of value, there are some people that will do what ever it take to get it, legally or illegally, they will do what they need to do to take it from you.

And I am paranoid because I have a couple loaded handguns, a 12 ga with #4 buckshot, and a couple long guns with several magazines of 7.62 and 223 loaded and accessible in may home.

I think not, local shit happening supports my thinking.

edited to note - not picking on CraigJS, just making a note of the quote.

Channel 9 last night was reporting this:

Quote:
The suspect did not know the family, authorities said.

Authorities believe the suspect's vehicle went into the ditch and became stuck outside the Kruger home and he went up to the Kruger residents and got into their SUV and tried to pull his vehicle out of the ditch, Milbrath said.

At some point, Milbrath said the suspect allegedly shot the three members of the Kruger family. Preliminary indications are that the shotgun used came from inside the Kruger home, he said.

The killer is now claiming that the gun went off in a struggle killing the father, then it accidently fired hitting the wife, then he dropped it where it went off on it's own killing the son.

This is apparently a random home invasion buy a guy who "was a hard working" and "never gave any signs of trouble."

We don't have the death penalty in Minnesota because why?
